New media technologies

Final Cut Pro

New format of cutting and resizing of footage clips

-      We used the titles available in the program, as there was a large choice of professional looking titles, which we could format and adapt, to use for our indents.

-      Concerning the actual film titles, we used the font that would be associated with our film, 1942 Report, and this was easy to transfer into final cut pro to then adapt for the film. We changed the size and the colour to a red tone, as this is commonly used in horrors as it symbolizes blood, which against the plain black background looked very sinister.

-      Our billing block was created

-      We added a ‘day to night’ filter over the scenes set outdoors in our trailer, as this increased the spooky nature of our film.

-      The ‘blade’ tool was useful in perfectly and easily cutting our shots to the length that we wanted.
-      It was easy to add sound to the film, as we used a micro track, resulting in good sound quality.
